For a while now I’ve felt uncomfortable with the level of exaggeration in photo retouching. Every curve, color, and imperfection is fixed to achieve a pseudo-perfection that has become the hallmark of our times. People don’t look like this…
I’ve been expecting some sort of backlash against hyper retouches…
The Art of the De-Touch is a shot in the right direction. It allows you to see not only the before and after, but which pixels were modified. I hope this demo turns into a full-fledged browser plugin that allows you to see in real-time were the magic dust was sprinkled.
