Who Am I

Who is lorbus?
Lorbus is Lorenzo Bustillos Galavis. A 31 year old industrial designer from Caracas, Venezuela….
Living in Milan since 1998.

Who is Mitla?
Mitla is my wife. I love her.
She is an architect that works for Lissoni Associati.

Who is Fiona?
She’s our beautiful daughter!

Who are lorbus’s family?
My dad is Lorenzo Bustillos Sr. He is currently developing a bakery called sunnybread.
My mom is Melania Galavis a homemaker who has her cake and dessert business called Mela.
And I have to beautiful sisters:
Vanessa a lawyer who’ll kick your ass and with whom I share a cosmic connection and Alessia who repeatedly tells me to catch a cab from Milan to Miami and sings a great song she made herself.

Who do you work for?
I work as a freelance designer and musician.
I have developed a collection of objects for Banal Extra,
and have done renders and animations for many studios and companies in Italy and abroad.
I used to work with juanco, and we just designed a collection of clocks and accessories for Diamantini&Domeniconi.

In what design field do you specialize?
Currently I am more focused in furniture design, and small objects for the home.

What do you do on your free time?
I like to read, walk around aimlessly, play guitar, draw useless faces, and surf the web like a maniac…well, I do that even when I have loads of work!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Being somebody doing something somewhere someday….
