Galimberti Crypt

I asked this question a few days ago on AskMefi:
In the Cimitero Monumentale in Milan lies a crypt of the Galimberti family.
Cuboid in shape, it bears numerous engravings which appear scientific in nature.
I can make out what appears to be smashing particles, parabolas, lenses, and spirals.
Is there a hidden meaning to all of this? A message? Code?

This is a closeup of the hole left by tourists when they do a heel turn on the bull’s balls in the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle.
Every couple of years they fill it up and lay new mosaics, but people looking for good fortune grind it away.
