Steganography or stego is a way of hiding information inside a picture, text, or audio file.
In the example below I’ve hidden a technical drawing inside the picture of a Ferrari.
To anyone it looks like the picture of a car, but hidden in the redundant bits of info is the other picture.
This can be used to pass information to other people without anyone’s knowledge. The person receiving
the message only needs a password to decrypt the file.
It is said that Al Qaeda is communicating with it’s people by hiding plans in porn pictures or Ebay sales.
I used Hide in Picture to do it! Download the software and see for yourself….

Now you can see me in all of my glory everyday!
Just click on the lorbus cam button and yes…hm..hmmm that’s me.
I’ll capture an image once a day. I don’t think I’ll setup a live feed…because,
well because you wouldn’t want to see me picking my nose would you?

On saturday night I went to a Massive Attack concert with Mitla, Juanco, and Fabiana.
I had waited anxiously for this concert…hell I got my ticket in january.
Well, let me tell you it was a huge disappointment. I was biased. I was waiting for the best.
Having already seen them in 1998 when Mezzanine just came out.

Well this time it was a lot different. For one thing they had huge led screens that were continually
belching out information. Latitude, longitude, places, time, facts…Supposedly being updated in real time…
hahahaha…yeah right….specially when you could read that the software’s last update was: 01/01/2003.

They flashed italian words on the screen…personal things..san siro, cadorna, duomo, inter. Words that made you
feel like they know you, that they like you..bullshit…Download a fucking italian dictionary search Milan’s landmarks
and you’ll get the same results. I kept thinking to myself, “Am I the only one realizing this?” I turned around and Mitla was as incredulous as I.
The thought that these screens of info would have never been possible if not for Jenny Holzer crossed my mind continually.
This morning while looking for Jenny Holzer websites the first phrase that I read was:

“There is a fine line between information and propaganda”

No phrase would have given a better explanation…I spent more than 60 euros to go see propaganda…bad propaganda last updated: 01/01/2003.
Bush this, Bush that, America, blah, blah, blah….Yeah I don’t agree with much of USA’s foreign policy. But don’t try to sell it to me as entertainment.

Oh…and how was the music? While my brain was being brainwashed, I heard bits of their former magic. Great songs lost amid the chaos.

Note to Massive Attack:
The is only so much bandwidth of info that people can handle…the screens took most of it!
Loose the screens, and drop that big bass again.

I have been working on this lamp for the past months. It’ll be ready by the end of the may.
It looks really simple, but solving the physics involved was the hard part. It is about 180cm high,
and yeah i’ll probably make a table version and an applique.
The base is in marble or cast metal…it weighs about 6kg. The shade will be in translucent
synthetic parchment paper..It rotates 360 degrees and tilts more than 15.

Fast progressive techno. It works best after 2:00 am…..ohh, and yeah you really
need big sub-woofers, and a high speed connection for the impatient.
This song is email-ware, so if you download it you need to send me an email…fair isn’t it???
Hope you like it, now go and wake up the neighbors…..

What a week! I am extremely tired..I need new legs….
It’s furniture week here….that’s why…..
Pamiro AKA “the kitten boy” now has a blog! check it out!

The Salone Internazionale del Mobile is around the corner! From April 9-14, five days of furniture design, wannabe designers (I am one), and parties.
What was the most innovative and “different” design of last year??? I’d have to go with with Konstantin Grcic’s
chairs for Magis in aluminum. They are still not for sale, but I assume that they’ll be out shortly.
I specially like the outdoors version with a concrete base. For a short video click here.

Just finished designing a printer for an Aedo-to/Epson competition.
Click on the images for Hi-Res.

Transformation is the most fascinating thing about printers. You feed it a white piece of paper, and out comes a physical
representation of a digital file.

Curiosity about the process makes me open the cover frequently while it is printing….transparency would solve this.

Printers usually take up lots of space when not in use….I propose a book. Useful when needed, stored away when not.

In our hyperconnected world the need for an on/ff switch dies. Let the printer print when it needs to.

Cables are useless with WI-FI.

It is rather stupid to have ink remainder levels on our screens when we can make the tanks transparent.

Electronics can be stored inside the main cilinder.

Be real, the print is more important than the printer.
