My Polo Belt

I’ve had this buckle since I was 10 years old.
It was bought at some big fancy US department store in the mid 80s, a time when Ralph Lauren played with pop.

My waist has grown since, and I’ve replaced the thick yellow canvas original, with a cheap-o H&M black thing.
The clear lacquer is now cream, flashing a vintage feel that looks like an old Les Paul.
The edges may be chipping, but it’s bulls eye keeps drawing me in like magic.
My very own Frank Stella.

I hope to wear it on the day I die.

I’m So Good, I Amuse Myself

I visualized designing useless objects that are beautiful.
I thought for a few seconds / / / / / and said, “Oh, sculpture!”

Long Carousel Lines

This is coat hanger obviously inspired by chair carousels.
I like it’s umcomfortable proportions, and it’s pseudo-old look.

The top could be made in injection molded fake wood. //plastic//
Natural fiber lines, and >bronze< capping both ends.

The hook looks like the pull-string of old outboard engines.
I’ve pulled a few. I like boats.

Wanna produce it? This is work in progress.

Thanks for the great hospitality, love, and good conversations.

Back To Square One

Got back from Caracas.
Had a great time with my family.
I’m recharged and full of ideas…

Let’s see what happens.

This photo is of a mural in the lobby of the Hotel Avila.
Never stayed there but it looks cool, in a Wallpaper-y sort of way.

I wish the city was still this simple///
