Things I Found In My Pocket
2007.12.11

3 days ago I did a clean install of my operating system.
Hitting the web I immediately realized that something was different:
Every single page was full of ads. Glowing, throbbing, pulsating nightmares.
Familiar faces like Digg, Facebook, etc. were rendered hard to read.
I reinstalled Adblock Plus in my Firefox and I was again free from it all.
Then I remebered my recent trip to São Paulo…
You have no idea why, yet the city feels light.
Then it dawns on you:
no ads.
There was a recent city-wide ban on every type of publicity.
Words cannot convey the greatness of this law.
You can see the urban landscape without being told what to buy.
I’ve seen the future…
Ban the fucking publicity, and access content free from distractions.

This is sand armchair No.1
I had other ideas but spent the rest of the time changing the course of the river.
…yes I know I desperately need a tan. 5 days weren’t enough for my city-bound white ass.
As you can see I’m back from São Paulo.
I feel rested , recharged, and ready fo’ Freddy.
In the work department I’ve got my plate full:
I started collaborating with my good friend Pascal Tarabay, helping out on his designs.
I’m sure we’ll make a great team and get lots of work done.
I’m halfway through a Canon video project with Studio Ito.
This has been an awesome experience, and getting to do cutting-edge/ experimental work for big companies makes me smile wide.
…And working with Setsu is always a treat.
I’ve got some new Diamantini & Domeniconi things in the oven.
Here’s hoping we can solve the great challenge for the Salone del Mobile.
Continuing the series of traffic from around places I visit.
SP Traffic, probably the worst in the world.
This video does not represent the “lentidão” at it’s finest
I’ve been meaning to change this website for a while.
I wanted it to become more personal; to have more of the things I do on it.
The external links drown-out the rest of the site…
So from today lorbus splits into two:
A tumblelog where I will continue to post strange, fascinating, and cool links,
and lorbus.com which will be my personal showcase.
I think both will have more room to expand and get better.
The tumblelog still doesn’t have comments. It will get them soon enough.
Tell me what you think, your comments are of great importance to me.
Without further ado:
