This kind of redefines that whole mega-yacht concept, doesn’t it?

Looks like a bigger version of this.

Game Tourism

2006.10.26

I’m a passionate gamer playing a lot of titles a year.
I’m always wating for the newest fix.

One of the best things in games is ambience; the ability to feel transported someplace else for a while.
While playing, you feel a part of some long lost civilization, another planet, or a nice tropical beach.
You forget who you are. You go on a 2 hour vacation.

When the action in the game is too boring or complicated I turn on the God cheat.
When in God mode your character cannot be killed or affected, but you can still interact.
You can blow away anything or walk around…

Which brings up an idea I came up with:

I enjoy the scenery a lot.
I go siteseeing.
I look at the architecture and nature. Sometimes I don’t want to get killed.
I’m a tourist. I walk around and take pictures.

Gaming industry:

Make a game were I can explore and walk around without puzzles or killers.

Let me uncover big ruins and long lost pyramids.
Let me float around your abandoned spacecraft.
Take me away with a plush soundtrack.
Let me discover other worlds.
Take me inside my mind.

The Future is in Beta

2006.10.16

I think I finally figured out why all the Web2.0 companies are always in Beta.

Before the current state of things companies would update their products every now and then.
Time frames were a lot longer.
Testing was done in-house
The product debuted in a store when it was ready.

Nowadays tech companies innovate their products in small increments and release them
while the are still WIP.
They fix and update as they go.

They have no idea how to call this method, hence Beta.

In the future everything will continually update all the time.
Just like our cells do, and nobody is saying our bodies are in Beta.
