Like Really Small

2005/08/30

If you’re feeling adventurous and have eyesight to spare checkout Guimp, the world’s smallest website. It’s so fucking small you won’t believe your eyes. The nice thing is it has plenty of sections and games, all within the confines of a few pixels.

In an excellent example of “Life Imitates Art” watch this amazing video shot by the Mercury bound Messenger spacecraft. It looks like a render straight out of Armageddon! Wow, me love pretty Earth…

I’m not fond of playing with food, but this apple art is nice to look at.

Carboard boxes are taking over, by Nakd. Reminds me of Drexler’s Grey goo.

Your Typical Summer Burn

2005/08/08

As you are probably more than aware, I burned out… I need a few days to chill and regain my blogin’ powers. In the meantime checkout the best of the best:

Robot Wisdom: Good links, all the time. Concise.

Cynical-C: Every time I find a nice link, Cynical was there before.

Growabrain: It really makes your brain grow!

Waxy: The finger on the trigger.

Dataisnature: The quantification of beauty.

Banal Extra Angolo

2005/08/01

This fantastic table has only one leg and leans against the corner. It’s got more style than James Dean leaning against the wall…
Who designed it? Why, yours truly! It is produced by Banal Extra in several colors, now go get yours!

Plastic Grooves

If only Edison could hear this!(I know its not polite to make fun of the dead and deaf, sorry)…
A kit for making a phonograph that records on plastic cups.
Cool or what?

Bits and Skin

Since last year I’ve been telling people that in exactly 5 years we won’t be able to tell the difference between CG people and the real thing. The skin, hair, and tonalities have improved a great deal in recent times. The last hurdle as far as I’m concerned is in the eyes. When you see animated CG people they all look like the suffer from strabismus… Anyway, Pu Yi is a perfect example of where it’s at now… We are damn close!
