The Wurst is at it again. They sent each artist a set of nesting dolls, and evidently each came up with a different take. Cool.

If you are reading this, you have a motherboard within a 4 feet radius. Have you ever thought how they are made? Show me the process.
We all know that electronic music and hip-hop sample the hell out of old music… But what I didn’t know is that some songs are the same. They may add a little flourish here and there. WTF? I’d be embarrassed if I were Fatboy Slim, Portishead, or Dee-Lite. Go listen to the originals!
Ahhh…So many beautiful places, so little time, and money! The Kailasa Temple.
Cristobal Vila is one kickass lone-gunman of a 3D artist. He makes 3D animations that can make you feel you’ve chosen the wrong profession. Isfahan, and Snakes.
I am always mentioning to people that we are not destroying the world, we are only destroying our civilization. The Earth is one big, hard, rock. We aren’t. If you are still interested, Sam’s Archive has an excellent tutorial on How to destroy the Earth. (via Waxy)
You have to give it to Bloodninja for being the funniest cybersexer on the internets. I first saw this in Harper’s Mag. (NSFW Text)
Is this foldable hat cool, or what? You look like a complete dork with it, but I want it nonetheless . Cheap too.

Yesterday, Juanco and I went for a little research: We started at a fabulous Dali exhibition featuring sketches and illustrations he did for various books. Dali only made us hungrier for more stimulus, so we ended up going to the amazing Cimitero Monumentale of Milan. It is a vast cemetery filled with the most amazing tombs you’ll ever see. Lavish, complex, and creepy at the same time it should be a stop if you come to the city. Here are some photos… They don’t do justice to the place, but hey.

Escher must be dancing around in his grave… after devoting so many years to formulas, tessellations, and art, along comes EscherWebSketch. It does all of that with the move of a mouse. Wow! It’s truly fun to draw with. Fun for the whole family… M.C. is still the king though.
You think you control your eyesight and your brain, right? Wrong… Take a look at these wonderful optical illusions with demonstrations.
I’m off to see a Dali exhibition to search for a bit of inspiration… You can do the same by visiting Virtual Dali!
Sometimes I think the most interesting airplanes are the ones that never got built. Some of these were schemes that were too visionary, some are found in fiction, and some were practical aircraft that lost out somewhere between blue sky and finished prototype.
Juanco and I designed a fair stand for MobilService, a company that makes bent plywood furniture with printed graphics. The idea was quite simple: We wanted to make a house, where everything, including the chimney was printed on a flat surface…Sort of like a pop-up book house. This is the result… The first image is a render of the whole thing. We are quite proud of the chairs (red), they came out looking nice. The dark ones are last minute inventions by the company, so we bear no connection…
One last thing: the place looked better than the photos suggest!
My camera was not working properly at the time, and I hadn’t realized it.
For those who have been following this blog for a while know this is what drives me crazy with joy. The Solar System In Scale. Scroll slowly please!

Update: I’d like to thank the MooCrew at Fatcow hosting for their prompt support everytime I have trouble… Their service is first rate, and for 99$ a year you get domain, 1GB of space, and 30 GB of traffic monthly. I hope I can one day move that much GBs!!!
