Be Good Next Year

Here is a panoramic picture I took last week at Val di Lei in Madesimo at an altitude of about 3000 mts. The mountains in the foreground are in Italy…the ones in the back Switzerland. Click for Hi Res
Let your dreams fly, the sky is the limit.
Happy New Year!!!
Space Style

Black boxes, gray boxes, it’s all the same now for TV’s. Remember the old Telstars? Well they are still making them with modern technology on the insides. Predicta offers several models with their renowned 50′s style. Throw away that clunky box and get a real TV!
Inside Our Bodies

The U.S. National Library of Medicine has put together Dream Anatomy a website dedicated to showing how anatomy drawings have changed over the centuries. Beautiful, rich, and with amazing detail, these images are a pleasure to see. Of special interest is Man as Industrial Palace.

Rollercoaster game in unknown language…just use the K to accelerate and S to brake. Faster…Faster!!!
Ethylic Difficulties
Opening a door with a key while being drunk is probably one of the hardest adventures embarked by man. This (Finnish?) website has just that…insert the key while raising the blood alcohol level. I have to say that the animation is very lifelike. I think I am going to throw up!
Hip to be Square

Some 2200 years ago Archimedes invented 14-piece dissection puzzle similar to tangrams. It is called the Loculus, Stomachion, or Archimedes’ Box. The object is to rearrange the pieces to form a square. In November of 2003 Bill Cutler used a computer program to find the 536 distinct solutions. If only Archimedes had been around to see this!
1903…2003
Its been 100 years…

Design Knowledge
Birgit from Designboom put together some very nice words about free content, information, and how it relates to sustaining their awesome design website.
Light Waves

Eldarinn has created LedLounge, seven lamps designed with LED technology in mind. Lots of companies have produced LED lamps, but most are just regular archetypes in which Light Emitting Diodes have been added without taking advantage of it’s different capabilities. In this collection you can see a conscious effort put into creating new typologies or redefining existing ones. They are not for sale at the moment; they are concepts, with a clear eye towards production. Note to Manufacturers: Why don’t you make Tal a check so he can produce them!
Malabarismos
If the Internet had been around while I was in school, I would’ve never ever graduated. Take Pentrix for example, an excellent website dedicated to the art of pen spinning. Imagine for a second being able to have all this info for classroom boredom at my fingertips…..
MR BUSTILLOS!!! Why don’t you come and solve the equation on the blackboard!!!! click click…(hear the pen drop)…
Explosive Creation
Pleix has put together one of best videos I’ve seen lately…”Sometimes” with music by Kid 606. The combination is pure dynamite. Stunning. By the way I was just reading Kid 606′s Bio and he was born in Caracas, Venezuela…That makes me very happy indeed. Be sure to check-out his music…cutting edge laptop sounds, ohh and don’t forget to see the other videos from Pleix!
The Answer to The Question
Kurt G?del stunned the math world in 1931 with his “incompleteness theorem”. It proved that mathematics or any formal system turn out to be incomplete because they are able to express statements that say of themselves that they are unprovable. Wheeeewww…and you think that is difficult? Why don’t you take a look at his Proof of God. This man had no fear for the hardest questions!
Tiny Slices

The Visible Human Project’s job is the creation of complete, anatomically detailed, three-dimensional representations of the normal male and female human bodies. They sectioned a male in 1 millimeter intervals and then scanned them using various methods. You can see a video put together from these images. It’s a pity the resolution is so low…but hey, you’ll rarely have the chance to see a person from this perspective.
Precision Folding
Just like everyone else, I hate folding the laundry. This video will show a method for folding tee-shirts in no time at all! Give it a go, take everything out of your closet and train!!!
Fancy Acrobatics
Fly…Fly….with Free Flight. Use your arrow keys to guide the paper airplanes, the spacebar for camera modes, and 1-4 for wingman tricks. What a treat!
All Your Base Are Belong To Us

The School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University has put together The Robot Hall of Fame, a place where robots are recognized for their outstanding contributions to the field. The nicest thing about it is that even robots in sci-fi are recognized!
Sing it For Me
Let Them Sing It For You will sing back the lyrics you write with snippets of sound cut from many pop music sources. You can even send it as an email…Ha! Now you know how your Christmas cards are going to be! Excellent…
Zap!

Bert’s Quarter Shrinking and Can Crushing Gallery shows how he shrinks coins to amazing sizes by applying huge amounts of electricity. Most of the features of the coins are preserved; only the scale changes. It’s like washing your wool sweater in hot water!
Cover Search
Want the album cover to go with your mp3′s download? Look no further than Slothdog’s Amazing Album Cover Finder. Seek and you will find.
Heat Rainbow

The Infrared Zoo shows the heat animals irradiate. You can see warm and cold blooded animals and how the different parts of their bodies release heat in different fashions. If only I could have a camera like this to know when my steaks are done!
Front Page Disasters
Here’s a collection of CNN graphics. Shall we say they suck? Ohh yes…and they seem pretty funny out of context!
