Merry Christmas People!
2002.12.21Merry Christmas and a happy new year!!!
Winter______I hate this darkness that creeps towards my desk at around 4:30 pm.
I definitely need another 100W lightbulb…I only have three burning in my room now!
You can never have enough light in winter.
Went to see Luomo last night…A-ok…a great live show.
Minimal house with a dub twist. I sincerely recommend Vocalcity, its his best work.
Anyway, I had one too many Vodka Redbulls…my head still dances.
Do you know how to give CPR?
You can find a lot of useful information on this website.
Everyone should know this! You could save a life….
So what’s new in my life??
Design:
-Gathering the info and the nerve to finish a lamp. I’ll post it when finished.
-Working on an umbrella holder. Still have to build prototype to see if it works; it will.
-Designing accessories for the mustique table system…sounds interesting ha?
-Tell myself everyday to call design companies and show my designs. I never do. hm-mm. I’ll start next week.
Music:
-Putting the finishing touches on Grindip. A tekhouse tune that I’ll post on the music section later this month.
Life:
-Happily married for almost one month!
-Postponed plans to move out of our extremely small house.
-Planning on buying a good raincoat for the beautiful milanese weather.
Oh…yeah…and I’m writing this blog which nobody is reading.
See you around
Spent the day yesterday at the Future Concept Lab’s No Lifestyles, Yes Mindstyles lecture.
It’s theme: Communication, Brands and 5 new strategies for brand building. Very interesting insight on how to build, and maintain a brand
in todays world. Be sure to check-out also the Genius Loci Lab website as well.
Inspiration.
Most of people doing a website draw inspiration from the work of others. That’s ok as long as the final output is not the same as
the input. Pirated Sites puts the original and its copy side by side. You won’t believe
your eyes! Its almost the same…shame!
ok..ok…yeah I know…Hey I was getting MARRIED!
So I am back…and so is the blog..goodnite.
Marcel Duchamp….a man whose art has influenced our world in so many ways. Making sense of Marcel Duchamp
is a very nice website explaining through flash a bit about his work. The depth of duchamp’s work is outstanding
and difficult to condense in a few pages, but this website does a good job of making it easier to understand…Visit the site then get a book.
Tired of waiting for heavy websites to load??
The 5K org puts together a competition every year of websites under 5K.
You won’t have time to get a refill on your coffee!
The great dissapointment…..Cayenne, Porche’s new SUV lacks the looks we all waited for.
On the engine department everything is taken care of in usual Porsche style…I’m not whining about that….
It’s the exterior…
The front-end has that unmistakable Porsche identity; it even looks like a turbo with over-sized wheels…
But everything is lost in the rear. And this from a maker of cars known for their outrageous backends.
It could be the rear-end of any car…hell, It looks like a BMW. No more excitement when a Porsche passes you by on the highway.

I remember my first computer..(it was actually my dad’s!)..ahhh. An Apple Macintosh 512k…. Never used it much, though.
Macpaint and Flight Simulator were my favorite programs…
Enough has been said about its icons and WYSIWYG interface.Meet one the people behind it’s graphic interface….
I don’t use an Apple anymore, but I can still see the impact Susan Kare had on our everyday.

The highlight of it all: I was approached by a very stylish and charming old lady in the stand. She told me it was very original and well thought, and that she liked it…
I thanked her and didn’t think much; 2 minutes later a young man that accompanied her came back and said, “Just so you know, the lady you just talked to is Lisa Ponti, Gio’s daughter”.
Her comment was now greeted in new perspective because I’m a hardcore Gio Ponti fan! Cool.
